Yeah, I tried to launch directly, same error.. So I also think it has nothing todo with your patch.. Maybe its because I'm using an Insider Build of Windows 10 and it broke some compatiblity :/

Will try on another machine with Win 10 Version 1703..

I really love this game :D

Hi!

I downloaded the file, but i don't know how to make it work... it only recognize "gamepad" and it doesn't let me assign all the buttons or let me play with the d-pad neither...
can you help me please?
i would love to be able to play with the d-pad

thanks

this dll is for xinput joypads (like xbox 360 controller).
if your joypad is not xinput - it's useless, you'll have to use some software like xpadder or joy2key.

Folks, if anyone else is still experiencing the 0xc0000022 error message under Windows 8 or Windows 10, here's the solution:

Press Start
Start typing "Turn Windows Features On or Off" and open it
In the tree, find Legacy Components, and under it you can find Direct Play. You need to check it and press OK.

After that, the game started fine with the "smaller exe" and also the v3rc2 patch.

does it start with 7z in top left corner? it's possible that your browser opens the archive in text form instead of downloading. you can try to right click and pick save page as, that might work. alternatively you can check your browser settings and set 7zip as default application for 7z files.

Thank you so much for this collection of mods that really make the game so much better :) I just played through THPS3 with my Brother and kind of didn't like the settings they use for the grabs, flip and wallrides. THPS2 has such a better flow on all those points and that's why we started looking for a way to mod the maps into THPS2 and lo and behold... you already did it. :P So now we will bust out some tricks from 1,2,3,4 on our favorite "engine". Thanks man. BTW! Where do you put the new textures for shcool and roswell? Just in the main folder? Or do I need to replace the textures with a tool? :)

Many thanks, Adam.

just unpack the archive in your thps2 folder.

Thanks for the answer. I managed to find it out yesterday :) My friend is also working on making a tool for this game that will "reload scene" live in the game, so you can reload textures without closing the game. I am also looking for a way to extract the .psx files. I haven't found a way to do that yet, so any help would be awesome. I usually only mod rhythm games like guitar hero games, but I love the THPS series, so I really would love to retexture all the maps into something more aesthetic looking and release a pack of textures to hype up the game again so people can play the game and have it feel fresh :)

cool. unfortunately there is no texture filtering, so if you're gonna use higher resolution ones, it will flicker in distance. check PM.
