Hello.

I've downloaded THAW and THUG2. I wanted to translate one of then and edit images too. or example Loadscreen image.

How can i convert img.xbx files to some editable Images? For example: .tga or .bmp/png/jpg ?

How can i open and edit text(language) files?

I hope, somebody can try to tell step by step what i have to do and which tools i need for editing.

I have read all THUG2modding topics. I saw one your post about Image editing, but i don't understand how can i get editable file prom img.xbx ?

And i didn't see any topic about language editing.

For text editing in thaw: download queenbee load pak files and just search for text. After renaming the text click update and save to disc.
for thug2 use qbexplorer, you'll have to decompile quite a few .qb files from scripts folder. Don't forget to compile them after editing .txt files.

But what about image editing? img.xbx

I've never seen any post about .img.xbx editing or example in Photoshop.


Edit: And what about Sounds editing? Maybe i'll try to record Voices in another Language.

I've read that topic before. Downloaded sources.

There are just text(cpp) and .dsp file.. What I have to do with them?

I'll do it tomorow, cause I wanna all files in Images folder. And it's ~200mb.

THUG2's font is editable? Cause, i want to make translation with letters(for example):

The fonts can't be converted afaik.

hey,no need this crap for editing .img files.for image edit yo can use Texmod,the download link:http://download.fileplanet.com/ftp1/092009/Texmod.zip,
how to use texmod:
first:Launch Texmod.
second:Select the Game to you edit textures(THUG2).
third:go to Logging mode,in "Log with",Change Enter by F1.
fourth:Click "Run".
fith:select the texture(s) did you edit.
six:edit the texture with a image editor(Recomended Photoshop CS3,CS4 & CS5)
seven:save the edited texture(s) and go back to Texmod and go to Package Build.
Eigth:Click the button "Build",and Choose the destiny of the Package File.
Nine:go to Package Mode and select the Package with texture(s) and click "Run" again to Launch the Game and view you custom texture(s).
Note:create in Texmod folder a new folder and rename THUG2 Textures,to put custom texture's Package of THUG2 in this folder.
