Re: The THPS Beta hunt thread!
26th april means it is a cut down version of known ntsc beta.
and might be a demo like pizza hut?
somehow it features final logo style already, but lacks special bar.
don't think there is anything interesting, yet we may probably contact him to be sure?
any ideas about Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (beta - unreleased levels) mentioned here?

Re: The THPS Beta hunt thread!
This is kind of off topic, but it's relevant enough that I thought it'd be worth posting. MTX Mototrax was originally going to be called Travis Pastrana's Pro MotoX, and featured a yellow logo similar to the THPS4 logo. There isn't much documentation about this on the internet, but I managed to find this low quality promotional video for the game. I only know about this because I remember seeing this video somewhere about 12 years ago. I think it was at a Gamestop.

I also found this article on the announcement of the game.

this explains why MotoX level was in THPS4.

Wakeboarding Unleashed Featuring Shaun Murray was also originally going to be a THPS spin-off. It's working title was Shaun Murray's Pro Wakeboarder. Here's a picture of the game case.
There was also going to be a Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder 2, but it was cancelled. It was going to have a red logo similar to the THPS4 logo. Here's a link to a promotional video for the game.

Re: The THPS Beta hunt thread!
I have a theory that Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 1 was originally only developed by Runecraft and the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 demo version of it (of which Shaba Games was not mentioned whatsoever in the demo) might have been a near-final build of the game and then someone from Activision (or Mat, or someone else for all we know) said it was not that polished and need more work and sent the game to Shaba Games to change/fix the game's physics, redo certain portions of the game (like changing the level design), and to further polish up the game. And because of that they delayed the "November 2000" release date to a early 2001 release.
Basically what we have that was released was basically the Shaba Games version of Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX and the Demo in TH2 might have been a demo of original Runecraft version of the game that was scrapped and later partially redone by Shaba.
...but who knows.
On somewhat unrelated note, here is set of "pre-Shaba" screenshots of the game that I found of off various sites:
edit: added "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1999/8/20." "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Preview." "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Preview." "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 Review." and "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2000/7/21 Preview." to the wanted list.

I was just looking at the THPS wiki and I noticed that some early Paris Screen shots where on there.

Hey Demo, how/where did you get these?

Re: The THPS Beta hunt thread!
just inspected thps3 ps2 trailers and found some stuff i didn't notice before.
there are some potato shots of the pipe in canada. you may also notice the trefoil bowl which is actually presented in Shaw Millenium park and made it into PS1 version.
there are 2 spots in los angeles i found interesting: the interior area near the fountain did not exist, there was a ramp instead.
the fountain itself was very different. it appears to be the actual orange fountain called Double Ascension ( you can find it at the first screen on the right side and on the last screen on the left side). and the whole district is City National Plaza, just in case if you didn't know that just like me.
the trailers themselves. you may notice the spin degree was highlighted in red. you may also notice they still used that font as on the lower screen. i personally find it much better than the one they picked for the final.

I found some cheat codes from Planet Tony Hawk on the 1999-04-09 THPS1 beta, and I don't know the ID for it. Does anyone know the ID (SLUS_????)

it's the exe date stamp. check the slus file date and you'll find the id.

So, which file should I open? And I did see the EXE file date (4/9/99).
Here are the files I see on the disk.
