hm, so there must be something different in pc port if you used those files.
pc game crashes in airport and los angeles, single player skater island doesn't work at all and tokyo freezes the game when you turn around.
however 2player versions of skater island and los angeles work fine. th4 levels work fine as well.

mhpb 2nd demo?

I'll try Skater island and Tokyo soon to see if they work on psx.

I might try putting levels into THPS3 or 4 from earlier games to see if they work on the psx.

There were two MHPBMX demos on the Official UK Playstation discs. The one on disc 73 is the same as the one on the THPS2 disc but the one on disc 85 is a later version where Treatment Plant is the only playable level.

i expect they will work fine in newer games.

can't even find videos for that demo disc.

What program did you use to edit the HED file? Also what do I need to change in the PAL version to get the THPS1 levels to load?

hex editor.
swap th1 trg checksums with corresponding th2 trg checksums.

I've opened the HED file in a hex editor, What do I look for? as it just seems to be random letters and numbers.

use the unpacker, sort out trg files. you'll know each trg checksum meaning.
then you get 2 corresponding trg checksums, search for it in hed file and swap.
remember the byte order is reversed, endian stuff. so AABBCCDD.trg will be DD CC BB AA in hed.

file format as follows
4 bytes checksum, 4 bytes offset, 4 bytes file size til the end of file.
but i guess it's useless in this case.

I remember playing the MHPBMX PSX demo with the Treatment Plant as the only level. It was on a demo disc on a PSX stand at a Toys R Us I visited around 2001.

Is the C_Gull file actually on the THPS2 disc?

I've found most of the vehicle check sums just not C_Cable

I need to recheck but I think that file is the tram from SF in THPS1 which is also labeled C_cable (It's not on the THPS2 disc) not the train from THPS2 which confusingly is also labeled C_cable. I've tried all the files from 18kb to 43kb and not found the Bus or Train. Maybe they wont load in Sl2 though so I guess I should retry with PH.

You've probably done all this long ago but I got the Boombox to load as a vehicle as well as a few floating skaters.

How are the MHPBMX files going? I'm still hoping to add LA HABRA.

edit: I've now found the bus and train they are small files

Train C_cable 16,080 bytes
Bus C_bus 15,356 bytes

are these the same size as the PC files?

i must had something different as c_cable, checked the backup, sizes are exactly as you wrote.

the model swapping was known long before, there are few articles on PTH
you can also load mhpb and spiderman models
