Edit SKN

Postby Spazmbite » Sun Apr 07, 2013 1:41 pm

Hello! I'm new here so... what's up? xD

Nevermind.. I need help. Well, currently I make a great modification to THPS3 (http://www.fb.com/TonyHawkProGame).I change the textures, I add new elements, but unfortunately I do not know how to modify the models in the file format .SKN. I know that there is a converter of files to a more digestible for 3D modeling programs, but do not know where I can get it. So I ask you, where can I get a program to edit these files? I will be VERY grateful! Thank you.

PS. Sorry for my english, but I come from a Poland xD

Not sure of the tool you speak of, perhaps you can find it here. If it isn't there maybe someone else has/knows where the tool you speak of is.

As it turns out, .SKNs are just animated .DFF files with the file extension changed, So If you renamed .SKN to .DFF, You can import the models to Blender or 3DS Max using a GTA3 DFF Plug-in, Not sure if you can export the skins, Gonna have to experiment once I get my PC's hard drive replaced, Because I know that the exported files won't load ingame unless you changed something in the file with a Hex editor, At least from when I attempted it in the past

after 13 years of thps 3 .. the orginal skaters got bored...
